Privacy policy

“We” means Monneko, based in Malaysia. This policy covers the Monneko app and this website. We follow Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, or the details Apple or Google share when you sign in with them. Your name and birthday, if you add them.
- What you add: expenses, budgets and goals, reminders, trips, and your chats with Monny. If you connect WhatsApp, your phone number, stored encrypted.
- Photos and voice notes you send to Monny: we read them, keep only what you confirm, and delete the photo or recording straight away.
- Technical details: your device model, app version and IP address, crash reports, and which screens you use. We use these to keep accounts safe and fix problems, never to track you.
This website has no sign-in and no tracking, and it sets no cookies of its own.
How we use it
Only to run Monneko for you, keep it secure, and make it better. When you ask Monny something, only what that answer needs is sent to our AI provider. We don’t show ads, and we never sell or rent your data.
Who we share it with
Trusted companies that help us run Monneko, such as our hosting, email, maps, AI and crash-reporting providers. They may only use your data to provide their service to us, and some of them work outside Malaysia. We also share data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. Some things go sooner: chats with Monny after one year, reminder history after 90 days, and things you delete after one day. When you delete your account, your data is deleted at once and is gone from our backups within 7 days.
Your choices
- You can see, change or delete what you’ve added in the app at any time.
- You can delete your account in the app, or ask us to.
- To ask for a copy of your data or a correction, email support@monneko.my from the address on your account. We reply within 7 days.
Children
Monneko is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above. If a change affects how your data is used, we tell you in the app first.
